EDWARD HARDWICKE as Sidney Carter
Beginning under the tutelage of Sir Laurence Olivier at the National Theatre, Edward Hardwicke has enjoyed a long and celebrated career, including performances in Olivier’s Othello, and Dennis Potter’s Son of Man. Most recently he starred in Polanski’s Oliver Twist (as Mr. Brownlow), the TV classic The Gathering Storm, and films such as Enigma, Elizabeth, Photographing Fairies, Richard III and Richard Attenborough’s Shadowlands opposite Anthony Hopkins. He is perhaps best known and loved for his portrayals of Pat Grant in Colditz, and Doctor Watson opposite Jeremy Brett’s Sherlock Holmes in the hit TV series.
